To combat rising cases of COVID-19 in Australia’s two most populous states, new restrictions and health advice have been released for both Victoria and New South Wales.
From 11:59 pm on Wednesday people over the age of 12 in metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire will be required to wear a face mask when out in public.
Victorians are still required to work from home where possible, even outside of the lockdown areas. Employers must support their employees to work from home where it is possible to do so. Those that cannot work from home should ensure appropriate physical distancing by keeping at least 1.5 metres between you and others wherever possible and practising good hygiene.

In New South Wales workers are encouraged to work from home where possible. Under current health orders employers must allow employees to work from home where it is reasonably practicable to do so.
NSW residents are also encouraged to wear masks when in public and unable to maintain social distancing, for example on public transport and in shopping centres.
